Glucosamine and chondroitin are found naturally in the bodies of animals and are necessary for normal joint function. Glucosamine HCl is a natural precursor of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and necessary for building cartilage. Chondroitin Sulfate, the primary GAG found in cartilage, combats enzymes that destroy joint cartilage. Manganese is an important cofactor for the formation of GAGs, and ascorbic acid is required for collagen formation. Together, they act synergistically to support healthy joint function.
